This week's Star of the Week is Lachlan.
Ka wani ke, Lachlan, it's great to have you in Room 13.
We've had a busy week working on our routines and getting used to the expectations of life in Room 13. We have been focusing on 'taking responsibility for my own belongings'. It's great to see the children carrying their own rucksacks and completing their morning routines independently. Thank you for your support with this.
We now have a selection of work on the the walls - our holiday recount, which we illustrated; prayers we wrote; shoes we designed - linked to our poem of the week Shoes; and a selection of 'Triple Star' (quality) work. Please come and look at our work.
Looking ahead to Week 3:
Monday: School Assembly at 12md in the church
Tuesday: Run, Jump, Throw with Anita from Sport Canterbury. Children will need to bring their running/sports shoes - they must wear their school shoes to and from school. Girls will also need to wear shorts under their dresses and they will need to take their dress off for the sessions.
: Junior Syndicate Assembly and Singing
Wednesday: 7-7:30pm and 7:30-8pm Meet the Teacher in Room 13. If you are unable to make these times (e.g if you have 3+ children) I will be repeating the session at 3:10pm on Thursday.
: I am on a course on Wednesday so will not be at school during the day. The children have met the reliever and I know they will have a great day with him.
Friday: Mufti Day - the Parent Council will be collecting chocolate items (as payment for wearing mufti) for their Easter raffle.
Have a relaxing weekend. I will see you all on Monday.
Well done Lachlan for being the star of the week from Eve and Harry.
