Looking ahead to Week 6:
Monday: Room 13 are leading the school assembly. We would love you to come and support us. Please be seated in the church by 11:55am.
Library day: children are expected to return their library books on Monday. They need to put them on the class library shelf as part of their Monday morning routine. Please ensure all school books are carried in a library bag or reading folder. A separate pocket in their rucksack is not acceptable. Library bags/reading folders can be purchased from the school office for approx $5. These need to come to school each day.
Tuesday: School Photos - please wear summer uniform, including black school shoes. Also wear your smile!
School finishes at 12:30pm on Tuesday. Staff will be attending a Paid Union Meeting.

Friday: We will attend 9am mass. Please be at school by 8:40am so we can take the roll then be seated in the church before mass starts.
We will celebrate St Patrick's Day by wearing green and bringing a gold coin for Caritas.

That looks like a busy week - and we have to fit reading, writing, maths and RE in as well!

Term 1 Week 5 News

Today we had a Rice Day Liturgy instead of our usual assembly, therefore no certificates were awarded. We were encouraged to think about all the people who only have a bowl of rice to eat each day and to be thankful for all the lovely food we are able to enjoy. We then ate lunch with our buddy classes. Room 13 and Room 8 are buddies so we sat outside the back of Room 8 to enjoy the yummy food provided by our parents (Thank you Mum and Dad). Thanks, too, Room 8 buddies for sharing your space with us. We loved talking to you.

We had a lot to celebrate today:

Bronze Mathletics certificates were awarded to Conor, Xavier and Isobel. Congratulations on gaining your first Bronze certificate.

Ka pai to the top three Mathletes for last week: Rata, Liam and George.

We also celebrated success from Saturday's Athletic Club Championships. Congratulations to Daniel, Elspeth and Eve.
